Behind the Scenes of a 2Wheelers Ride

It’s not just gas up and go.

People see the videos. They see 20+ bikes slicing through Ontario roads like a pack of wolves. They see the drone shots, the slow-mo turns, the “biker brotherhood” vibes.

What they don’t see? The organized chaos it takes to get that ride rolling without someone getting lost, pissed off, or (worse) hurt.
This is what really goes down before a 2Wheelers group ride.

🔧 Step 1: Someone Has to Take Charge (and It Ain’t Glamorous)

Usually it starts in the group chat:

“Yo, weather looks good this June, Who wants to do Route 66, 11,000 Kms?”

10 thumbs-up later, nobody’s actually planned anything.
So someone steps up and becomes Ride Dad/Mom. They scout the route, check the weather radar like a pilot, and try to figure out a meetup spot with enough parking and a Timmy’s nearby. (Don’t underestimate the power of a good double-double before hitting the throttle.)

🧭 Step 2: The Route Needs More Than Just Google Maps

We don’t just pick pretty roads. We ask:

  • Where’s the nearest gas for the sportbike guys with baby tanks?
  • Is there a spot to stop, stretch, and hydrate?
  • Can we actually do this loop without 10 U-turns and 1 burnout ticket?

Sometimes, a senior rider will pre-ride it a day before (not for one-way trips). Sometimes… we just wing it and hope no one ends up in Quebec.

🧑‍🏫 Step 3: The Pep Talk Nobody Thinks They Need

At the lot, before kickstands go up, we circle up.
Quick talk, no drama:

  • Formation: staggered, unless it’s twisties—then single file.
  • Signals: use your hands, not your ego.
  • Don’t cut in line, don’t ride side-by-side unless you trust your life with them.

We’re not trying to win MotoGP out here. We’re trying to go home in one piece.

💡 Step 4: The “Oh Sh*t” Prep

  • Someone brings a tool roll.
  • Someone brings a first-aid kit.
  • Someone’s got a backpack full of random stuff like zip ties, granola bars, and Tylenol.

We’ve had bikes overheat, chains snap, drained battery and even a wasp sting a guy mid-ride. Stuff happens. We prepare like dads going camping.

🧍‍♂️ Step 5: The Unspoken Stuff

There’s a pecking order. You learn it fast.

  • New riders go mid-pack where they’re visible.
  • Veterans take front and sweep.
  • No one leaves someone on the side of the road—no matter what.

Also: Don’t show up late. Don’t talk sh*t. Don’t ride like a hero. You’ll be ignored by lunch.

🏁 Once We Roll… It’s All Worth It

All the planning, messaging, frustration—it fades the second we hit the open road.
The sound of 8+ engines syncing up is pure therapy.
We ride hard, we ride smart, and we ride together.

And if we’re lucky, nobody gets a ticket… or smoked by a deer.

📝 Real Talk:

Everyone thinks they want to lead a group ride—until they do.
At 2Wheelers, we do it right. No half-assed routes. No chaos. No egos. Just the ride, the crew, and the road.

Next time you see us roll through? Just know—it wasn’t by accident.
It was planned, prepped, and earned.
